As the United Nations declared March 22 as World Water Day this year, some of us may have missed it. The Consortium took the day to gather Drinking Water Test Kits provided by Penn State University. This opportunity is made available for you by our sponsoring organization, the Conewango Creek Watershed Association, based in Warren, Pennsylvania.
A trained Consortium volunteer will come to your residence with a kit and gather your water sample. Depending on your water source and your individual concern, tests can be done for specific items, such as lead, bacteria or arsenic. There is a cost associated with this service for the lab analysis that is needed. The cost depends on what tests you would like to have done, with some savings for bundling certain tests. Payment is handled most easily with a credit card at the time of service. See below for links to complete list of tests and pricing.
Contact us at to submit a water testing request, and a Consortium volunteer will contact you to set up a visit appointment time.
For Chautauqua County New York residents, you can also visit the County website https://chqgov.com/environmental-health/drinking-water for their drinking water testing program. Check in your home county for a similar service.
