The Chautauqua-Conewango Consortium has the following opportunities for water advocates:
Water Quality Sampler/Tester
Concerned residents throughout our watershed want to know about the condition of the water in their homes and know if it is free of contaminants and/or PFAS. Our testing kits can provide those answers but we need volunteers to visits homes to do the sampling and testing. Training and support are provided.
Water Monitoring Corps
The Consortium is building a Water Monitoring Corps consisting of volunteers who are interested in being vigilant about an area of water, presumably near where they live or work, and reporting unusual pollution, runoff, weed growth, algal blooms, or other issues of concern with the water.
