Carol A. Russell short biography
Carol received her bachelorās degree from Williams College and a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland at College Park, both degrees in Geology with an emphasis on sedimentation processes. She began her career working at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in Cambridge, Massachusetts and later spent most of her professional life at the Goddard Space Flight Center as a remote sensing data analyst and science writer/editor. Her most recent publications are the Proceedings of the IRS2012: Radiation Processes in the Atmosphere and Ocean, and Landsatās Enduring Legacy: Pioneering Global Land Observations from Space (2017). The seminal waterways in her life include the Poestenkill Creek, Hudson River, Penobscot Bay, and numerous lakes in New York and Vermont.
